Koch manufactures two standard CIP systems. The first is a one tank system and the second a two tank system for holding a cleaning solution and rinse water.
Regular cleaning of heat exchangers needs to be done to maintain effective heat transfer. Plate heat exchangers can be cleaned by removing the plates, but this method is slower than cleaning with a clean in place unit.
